I never meant to rage bait the MMA community by posting footwork clips but at the end of the day we got great article, so I'd say it was all worth it.

Next we'll be hearing that tucking your chin doesn't work because it makes you vulnerable to front kicks or knees.

Is there a danger of circling into the power hand when pivoting to the left while jabbing in an orthodox closed stance match? I always hear people saying not to circle towards the power, and even though the pivot's angle change does make the path for the their power hand a little different, I've always been confused on the nuances of these seemingly conflicting bits of advice.

There is a danger, but it's the kind of thing that has to be set up. I will actually have an example of this very thing happening in the Joshua-Dubois piece I'm working on, so you may find some further details there. In general though, a well-timed pivot will send even a looping right hand sailing past your nose
